Preparation of Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Rinse the basil leaves, pat them dry, and then chop them roughly. Add to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely, then add to the tomato and basil mixture.

Season the Mixture
Add salt, black pepper, and balsamic glaze to the bowl. Toss everything together until well combined.
Toasting the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Place the slices, oiled side up, on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Assembly

Top the Toasts
Once the bread is toasted, remove from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on top of each slice.

Serve the bruschetta warm, drizzled with additional balsamic glaze if desired.
