Pickle Chips

Method

Pickle Chips Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Drain the pickles and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in one; whisk the eggs and milk together in the second; and combine cornmeal with a pinch of salt in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice first in the seasoned flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the cornmeal. Ensure each pickle is evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or a pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Pickle Chips

Carefully place the breaded pickle chips into the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Drain the Chips

Remove the fried pickle chips and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

House Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 8

    Whisk Until Smooth

Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 9

    Chill the Dressing

Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
