In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, eggs, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and chopped basil. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
- 6
Simmer the Sauce
Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
