Shrimp Scampi Ingredients

Method

Shrimp Scampi Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Garlic and Capers

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and capers. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  3. 3

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon and Butter

Stir in the lemon juice, butter, salt, and black pepper. Allow the butter to melt, stirring until the sauce is smooth.

  5. 5

    Combine with Shrimp

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Ciabatta

While the shrimp is cooking, grill or toast the ciabatta slices until golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the shrimp scampi and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with the grilled ciabatta on the side.
