Preparation Steps
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head. Cut it into florets.
- 3
Roast the Cauliflower
In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- 4
Prepare the Garlic
While the cauliflower is roasting, peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
- 5
Make the Cream Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the chopped garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- 6
Blend the Sauce
Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and add fresh basil. Blend the mixture until creamy.
- 7
Combine and Serve
Once the cauliflower is roasted, combine it with the cream sauce. Serve warm, garnished with extra basil and Parmesan if desired.
