Method

Cheesecake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes until set and lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.

  2. 2

    Make the filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Finally, add the flour and mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Assemble and bake

Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  4. 4

    Cool and serve

Once baked, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool slowly. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan and slice to serve.
