Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Roux

In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the all-purpose flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Slowly whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.

  3. 4

    Add Cheeses and Seasoning

Reduce heat to low and add the cheddar, Gruyere, and Parmesan cheese to the thickened milk mixture. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Combine Ingredients

  1. 5

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked elbow macaroni and the chopped lobster meat to the cheese sauce. Stir until evenly coated.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Breadcrumb Topping

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the melted butter and chopped parsley. Mix until the breadcrumbs are well coated.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Dish

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the lobster mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb topping over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
