Method
Biscuit Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, blend the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Buttermilk
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Cut into small biscuit shapes or use a small round cutter.
- 6
Bake
Place the biscuit bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Honey Butter Preparation
- 7
Mix Honey Butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and honey. Use a fork or whisk to mix until smooth and creamy.
