Cheese Curds

Ranch Dressing

Method

Cheese Curds Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Curds

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Batter the Cheese Curds

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Dip each cheese curd into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture to coat thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Fry the Cheese Curds

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the battered cheese curds in batches and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Season the Cheese Curds

Immediately dust the hot cheese curds with extra chili powder to taste.

Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

  2. 6

    Chill the Dressing

Cover the ranch dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
