Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling a cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the Ardbeg Scotch whisky, sweet vermouth, and orange bitters.

Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Strain the Cocktail
Discard the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass. Use a strainer to pour the mixed cocktail into the glass.

Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the cocktail and then drop it into the drink. Add a maraschino cherry on top as a garnish.
