Brownie Ingredients

Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in both sugars until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs & Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Together

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool & Serve

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
