Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Bagels
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.

Boil the Bagels
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add baking soda. Boil each bagel for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Bagels
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
