Dough and Filling

Method

Preparation and Baking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, warm the milk until lukewarm. Stir in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt. Mix in the flour gradually until a soft dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

  4. 4

    Roll and Fill

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a large rectangle (about 16x24 inches). Spread melted butter over the dough, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top, and roll it tightly into a log.

  5. 5

    Cut into Rolls

Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
