Method

Fritter Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Cut the bread slices into cubes, approximately 1-inch in size, and set aside.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, granulated sugar, and baking powder until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Bread and Mixture

Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and gently fold until the bread is fully coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak.

  4. 4

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips into the mixture until evenly distributed.

Frying

  1. 5

    Heat Oil

In a large frying pan or deep skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry Fritters

Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry each side for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Drain and Coat

Once fried, remove the fritters and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Immediately coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while still warm.

White Chocolate Drizzle

  1. 8

    Melt White Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.

  2. 9

    Drizzle on Fritters

Using a spoon or a piping bag, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the coated fritters.
