Cheese Curds

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Curds

Rinse the white cheddar cheese curds under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and place the bread crumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Cheese Curds

Dredge each cheese curd in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off, and then coat it with the bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, frying them until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove them and let them drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve with Alabama Sauce

Serve the hot cheese curds with Alabama sauce for dipping.
