Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the 6oz salmon fillet in the marinade, ensuring it is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and season with salt and pepper. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

  5. 5

    Finish Cooking

Flip the salmon fillet and pour the reserved marinade over it. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
