Garlic Butter

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil over both sides and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on your preferred doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Making the Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick). Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels. Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt immediately.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant (do not let it brown). Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley and salt to taste.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the grilled steak alongside the crispy fries. Drizzle garlic butter over the steak and serve extra on the side if desired.
