Preparing the Prawns

Coat the Prawns
In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined prawns with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the prawns are evenly coated.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

Fry the Prawns
Carefully add the coated prawns to the hot oil in small batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Making the Chili Garlic Sauce

Sauté the Aromatics
In a separate pan, add a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic and sliced red chilies for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Garnish and Serve
Transfer the chili garlic prawns to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with lime wedges if desired.
