Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well mixed. The mixture should resemble wet sand.
- 2
Form the Crust
Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling.
Filling Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth using an electric mixer. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until well combined.
- 4
Incorporate Remaining Ingredients
Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour to the mixture, and blend until smooth. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
- 5
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled graham cracker crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- 6
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for about 1 hour.
- 7
Chill the Cheesecake
After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set before serving.
