Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, add a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato (sliced), and condiments (ketchup and mustard) to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

Preparing the Fries

  1. 6

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F. Carefully add the cut potatoes in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 8

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle salt over the fries while they are still hot.
