Stuffing

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the stuffing

In a mixing bowl, mash the boiled potatoes and add green peas, chopped onion, ginger, green chilies, cilantro, cumin seeds, salt, and garam masala. Mix well until combined.

  2. 2

    Make the dough

In another bowl, combine whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Stuff the paratha

Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll out each portion into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the stuffing in the center, fold the edges over, and seal it well. Gently flatten it with your palm.

  4. 4

    Cook the paratha

Heat a tava or skillet over medium heat. Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a larger circle. Cook on the tava for 2-3 minutes on each side, applying ghee or oil until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
