Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add yogurt and oil, mix well, and gradually add water to knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for at least 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, combine the crumbled paneer, chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chili, and salt. Mix well to form a filling.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Kulcha

Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and fold the edges over the filling to seal it. Gently flatten the filled dough ball.

  4. 4

    Cook the Kulcha

Preheat a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Cook each kulcha on the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown, brushing with oil or butter as desired.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot with your favorite curry or yogurt.
