Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix the yogurt, tandoori masala, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Add the cubed chicken breast, coat well, and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

In another bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, tandoori masala, and salt. Add the shrimp, coat well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Seekh Kebab Mix

In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, cream, minced green chili, garlic, ginger, and salt. Mix thoroughly and shape into kebabs on skewers.

  4. 4

    Cook the Chicken and Shrimp

Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken pieces for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked. Grill the shrimp for about 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.

  5. 5

    Cook the Seekh Kebabs

In the same grill or pan, cook the seekh kebabs for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until they are fully cooked.

  6. 6

    Cook the Rice

While the meats are grilling, rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, add 4 cups of water, bring to a boil, then add the rice and a pinch of salt. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender.

  7. 7

    Serve

Fluff the rice with a fork and serve on a platter. Arrange the grilled chicken, shrimp, and seekh kebabs over the rice. Optionally, garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with chutneys.
