For the Kheema Filling

Method

For the Kheema Paratha

  1. 1

    Prepare the Kheema Filling

In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

  2. 2

Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

Stir in the chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.

  4. 4

Add the ground meat and cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is browned and cooked through.

  5. 5

Mix in the green peas and garam masala. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the peas are tender. Allow the mixture to cool.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Paratha Dough

In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour with water, a pinch of salt, and knead until it forms a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Kheema Paratha

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a small circle.

  8. 8

Place a generous spoonful of kheema filling in the center of each circle, fold the edges over to seal, and flatten gently.

  9. 9

Roll out each stuffed dough ball carefully into a flat paratha, avoiding the filling from spilling out.

  10. 10

    Cook the Paratha

Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each paratha, applying a little oil on both sides, until golden brown and cooked through.

  11. 11

Serve hot with yogurt or chutney.
