Chicken Pakora Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, add the chicken pieces along with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Batter
In a separate bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, and water to create a smooth batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the chicken pieces. Add salt and chopped coriander leaves to the batter and mix well.
- 3
Heat Oil for Frying
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a small amount of batter into the oil; it should sizzle and rise to the surface.
- 4
Fry the Pakoras
Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the batter, ensuring they are well coated. Carefully drop them into the hot oil, a few pieces at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the chicken pakoras hot with mint chutney or your favorite dipping sauce.
