    Prepare the Pasta

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Make the Cheese Mixture

    In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until smooth.

    Combine Ingredients

    In a large bowl, mix the cooked ziti pasta with marinara sauce and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the cheese mixture and stir until evenly combined.

    Assemble the Dish

    In a greased baking dish, layer half of the pasta mixture, followed by half of the remaining mozzarella cheese, and then the other half of the pasta mixture. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.

    Bake

    Drizzle olive oil over the top and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
