Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Add Boiling Water
Carefully stir in the boiling water until well combined (the batter will be thin).

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Chocolate Streusel Preparation

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.

Bake the Streusel
Spread the streusel on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350°F (175°C), stirring halfway through. Allow to cool.
Whipped Cream Preparation

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
Assembly

Layer the Cake
Place one layer of cake on a serving plate, spread a layer of whipped cream on top, then sprinkle with chocolate streusel. Top with the second layer of cake and repeat.

Finish by dolloping more whipped cream on top and garnishing with fresh raspberries.
