Blackened Ahi

Mongolian Ribs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Spicy Ahi Maki

Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Allow to cool. Slice ahi tuna, avocado, and cucumber into thin strips. Mix Sriracha and soy sauce. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat, spread rice over it, and place tuna, avocado, and cucumber in the center. Roll tightly, slice, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  2. 2

    Shrimp Tempura

In a bowl, mix tempura batter with cold water until just combined. Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip shrimp in batter and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Blackened Ahi

Pat ahi tuna steaks dry and coat with blackening spice. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked to desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Mongolian Ribs

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar. Marinate pork ribs in the mixture for at least 2 hours. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake ribs covered for 2.5 hours. Uncover and broil for 10 minutes until caramelized.

  5. 5

    Chinatown Chicken Spring Rolls

In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cabbage, carrots, green onions, and soy sauce. Place a spoonful of the mixture on a spring roll wrapper, roll and seal. Heat oil in a pan and fry rolls until golden brown.
