Preparation of Noodles

    Cook Soba Noodles

    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add soba noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.

    Prepare Hijiki

    Soak hijiki in water for 10 minutes, then drain. Add to cooled soba noodles along with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Toss with salt to taste.

Cooking Ahi Tuna

    Season and Cook Ahi

    Rub each ahi tuna steak with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat until hot. Add the seasoned steaks and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until blackened and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Making the Sauce

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

    In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, and sesame oil until smooth.

Plating

    Serve

    Place the chilled soba hijiki noodles on a plate. Slice the blackened ahi tuna and arrange on top. Drizzle the soy mustard sauce over the fish and serve immediately.
