Prepare the Crust

    Crush the Oreos

    In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

    Mix with Butter

    In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with melted butter until well mixed.

    Form the Crust

    Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

    Beat the Cream Cheese

    In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

    Gradually add sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined.

    Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla

    Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine and Bake

    Pour Filling into Crust

    Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust in the springform pan.

    Bake

    Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 55-60 minutes or until set. The center may still wobble slightly.

    Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour. Then cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.

    Before serving, drizzle chocolate sauce and add whipped cream on top as desired.
