Prepare Jade Pesto

Make the Pesto
In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend while slowly drizzling in olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Set the pesto aside.
Cook the Fish and Bok Choi

Prepare the Steamer
Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place a steamer basket over the pot.

Season the Fish
Season the Hawaiian whitefish fillets with Chinese soy sauce and sesame oil on both sides.

Steam the Fish and Bok Choi
Place the seasoned fish fillets in the steamer basket. Add the chopped bok choi on top of the fish. Cover and steam for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve

Plate the Dish
Remove the fish and bok choi from the steamer. Serve the fish on a plate topped with jade pesto and sprinkle with sliced green onions.
