Chili-Soy Dipping Sauce
Method
Dumpling Preparation
- 1
Make the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, crab meat, chopped shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Assemble the Dumplings
Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.
Steaming
- 3
Prepare the Steamer
Bring water to a boil in a steamer pot. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
- 4
Steam the Dumplings
Place the dumplings in the steamer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. Cover and steam for about 15-20 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through.
Dipping Sauce Preparation
- 5
Make the Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, sugar, sesame seeds, and chili flakes to taste. Adjust seasoning as desired.
