Method

Chowder Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, celery, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.

  2. 2

    Add Potatoes and Broth

Add diced potatoes, vegetable broth, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  3. 3

    Add Clams and Corn

Stir in the fresh clams and corn kernels. Continue to simmer until clams have opened and corn is heated through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Cream

Remove bay leaf and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.

Garlic Bread Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 6

    Spread on Bread

Slice the French bread in half and spread the garlic butter evenly on each half.

  3. 7

    Bake

Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
