Fish and Marinade

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red chili flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

Place the Hawaiian fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well coated. Cover and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Steamer

Set up a steamer over a pot of simmering water. If you do not have a steamer, you can use a heatproof plate placed in a pot with a lid.

  4. 4

    Steam the Fish

Place the marinated fish fillets on the steaming tray. Steam for about 8-10 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once the fish is done, carefully remove it from the steamer and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and drizzle any remaining marinade over the top. Serve hot.
