Blistered Shishito Peppers and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chickpeas

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and drain the cooked chickpeas. Spread them on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, togarashi seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Roast the Chickpeas

Roast the chickpeas in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy, stirring halfway through.

  3. 3

    Blister the Shishito Peppers

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shishito peppers and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are blistered and slightly charred.

  4. 4

    Season the Peppers

Once blistered, remove the peppers from heat. Drizzle with lemon oil and sprinkle with furikake seasoning and a pinch of salt.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the blistered shishito peppers alongside the crispy togarashi chickpeas as a delicious snack.
