Tarragon Cream Sauce

Method

Cooking the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove from heat and let rest.

Making Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and return to pot.

  2. 4

    Mash and Mix

Add butter, milk, and salt to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning as desired.

Preparing Asparagus

  1. 5

    Sauté the Asparagus

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add asparagus and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt.

Making Tarragon Cream Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and fresh tarragon. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes.
