Method

Preparing the Eggs

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cool and Peel

After the eggs have sat for 12 minutes, transfer them to an ice bath. Let them cool for 5-10 minutes, then peel and slice them in half lengthwise.

Making the Filling

  1. 3

    Prepare the Egg Yolks

Carefully remove the yolks from the egg whites and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the whites aside.

  2. 4

    Mix the Filling

Add mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped fried jalapeños, crumbled bacon, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the egg yolks. Mash and mix until smooth and well combined.

Assembling the Deviled Eggs

  1. 5

    Fill the Egg Whites

Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture.

  2. 6

    Garnish

Top each filled egg with a fried jalapeño slice, crumbled bacon, and chopped fresh chives.
