Fried Chicken Thigh

Chili-Garlic Ranch

Assembly

Method

Fried Chicken Thigh

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, pour the buttermilk. Dip each chicken thigh into the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated chicken thighs. Fry for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Chili-Garlic Ranch

  1. 3

    Make the Ranch Sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chili-garlic sauce, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Cabbage Slaw

  1. 4

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until all ingredients are evenly coated. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to soften.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fries

Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water and pat dry with a towel. In a pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt while still warm.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the burger buns if desired. Spread a generous amount of chili-garlic ranch on the bottom bun, place a fried chicken thigh on top, add pickles, and finish with a handful of cabbage slaw. Top with the other half of the bun and serve with fries on the side.
