Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, slightly larger than the burger bun.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Burger Assembly

  1. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread 2 tablespoons of the secret sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place one patty on each bun, top with pickles, grilled onions, and the second patty. Add more secret sauce if desired, then place the top half of the bun on each burger.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to create fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the fries in batches and fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
