Method

Cinnamon Roll Dough

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Cinnamon Filling

  1. 5

    Prepare Filling

In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Melt the butter and combine it with the sugar mixture to form a paste.

Assemble Rolls

  1. 6

    Roll Out Dough

After the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Spread Filling

Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the rolled out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  3. 8

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Streusel Topping

  1. 9

    Make Streusel

In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly.

Final Rise and Bake

  1. 10

    Second Rise

Place the cut rolls into a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  2. 11

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 12

    Bake Rolls

Sprinkle streusel topping over the rolls and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Vanilla Glaze

  1. 13

    Prepare Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Coffee Syrup

  1. 14

    Make Coffee Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine brewed coffee and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

Serve

  1. 15

    Finish and Serve

Drizzle the vanilla glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve with coffee syrup on the side.
