Method
Panna Cotta Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- 2
Heat the Cream Mixture
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- 3
Combine Gelatin and Cream
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved.
- 4
Chill the Mixture
Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Let cool for about 30 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
