Method

Prepare Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Mix Coffee and Sugar

In a shallow bowl, combine the brewed coffee and sugar, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

Prepare Filling

  1. 3

    Whisk Egg Yolks

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks until they are pale and creamy.

  2. 4

    Combine with Mascarpone

Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese to the whisked egg yolks until smooth.

  3. 5

    Whip Heavy Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  4. 6

    Fold in Heavy Cream

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, trying not to deflate the cream.

  5. 7

    Add Vanilla

Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Assemble Tiramisu

  1. 8

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 9

    Layer Ladyfingers

Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a rectangular dish.

  3. 10

    Spread Filling

Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers evenly.

  4. 11

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.

Chill and Serve

  1. 12

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

  2. 13

    Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.

  3. 14

    Slice and Serve

Slice into squares and serve chilled.
