Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Cavatelli

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cavatelli pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Seafood Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Lobster and Prawns

If using whole Maine lobster, cook it in boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until fully cooked. Remove the meat from the shell and chop into bite-sized pieces. Clean and devein the prawns if necessary. Set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the lobster meat and prawns to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until the prawns turn pink. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and fish sauce, mixing well to combine all flavors.

Final Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked cavatelli to the skillet, tossing gently to coat the pasta with the sauce and seafood mixture. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

  2. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and stir in Thai basil leaves. Season with freshly cracked black pepper. Serve immediately in bowls, garnished with extra basil if desired.
