Method
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place flour in the first dish, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each strip is well coated.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
For the Fries
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips for fries.
- 7
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- 8
Heat Oil for Frying
In a separate large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 9
Fry the Fries
Carefully add the soaked and dried potato strips to the hot oil. Fry in batches for 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 10
Season the Fries
Sprinkle the fried potatoes with salt and pepper while they are still hot.
