Method

Prepare Filling

  1. 1

    Cook the Pork

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground pork. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

To the skillet with the pork, add the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to combine and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  3. 3

    Season the Filling

Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assemble Egg Rolls

  1. 4

    Prepare Wrappers

Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper.

  2. 5

    Roll and Seal

Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Brush the top corner with beaten egg to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Cook Egg Rolls

  1. 6

    Fry the Egg Rolls

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the egg rolls in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare Dipping Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and chili flakes until well combined.
