Method

Chicken Fingers Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Set Up the Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and combine the bread crumbs, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken Strips

Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, coating it completely, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the bread crumb mixture. Ensure that each strip is well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small piece of bread into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked chicken fingers to a paper towel-lined plate.

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the honey and Dijon mustard until well combined. Adjust the proportions to taste if desired.

Cajun Mayo Dipping Sauce

  1. 7

    Prepare the Cajun Mayo Sauce

In another small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and well blended.
