Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pappardelle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing Shrimp and Sausage

Sauté the Sausage
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced andouille sausage and sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the minced garlic and shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Preparing the Spicy Cream Sauce

Make the Sauce
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream to the vegetables in the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the cooked shrimp and sausage back into the skillet with the sauce. Toss in the drained pappardelle pasta and mix everything together until the pasta is coated in the sauce.
