Seafood and Accompaniments

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add lobsters and cook for about 8-10 minutes until bright red. Remove and let cool. In the same pot, add shrimp, mussels, and clams, and cook for 5-7 minutes until shells open. Discard any that do not open.

  2. 2

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare Maple Bacon Scallops

In a separate pan, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and reserve fat. Add scallops to the pan, sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Add the crispy bacon back to the pan, and drizzle with maple syrup, cooking for an additional minute.

  4. 4

    Cook Corn and Potatoes

In a large pot, add new potatoes and corn on the cob. Cover with water, add a pinch of salt, and boil for about 15-20 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender. Drain and set aside.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into serving pieces. Optionally, toast them in the oven for a few minutes to warm them up.

  6. 6

    Plate and Serve

On a large platter, arrange the lobsters, shrimp, mussels, clams, crab cakes, scallops, corn, new potatoes, and serve with slices of baguette.
