Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the button mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and set them aside.

Make the Stuffing

  1. 3

    Mix the Stuffing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 4

    Chop the Mushroom Stems

Finely chop the reserved mushroom stems and add them to the cream cheese mixture. Stir to combine.

Stuff the Mushrooms

  1. 5

    Fill the Mushrooms

Using a small spoon or a piping bag, fill each mushroom cap with the cream cheese mixture until it is heaping.

Prepare the Topping

  1. 6

    Combine Breadcrumbs and Olive Oil

In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until they are evenly coated.

Bake the Mushrooms

  1. 7

    Add Topping and Bake

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top of each stuffed mushroom. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Hot

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm as an appetizer.
