Method

For the Ribeye Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Sprinkle the fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F or 232-260°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Once the grill is hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Add salt to the water and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.

  3. 8

    Add Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel and smash the garlic cloves. Add them to the pot during the last 5 minutes of boiling.

  4. 9

    Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes and garlic are cooked, drain them well. Return them to the pot and add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.

  5. 10

    Mix and Serve

Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately alongside the grilled ribeye steaks.
